Dad, Romy Hammes, loved Lincolns, especially the
Continental Marks of the 40s and 50s era. His first
was a 1946 II green hardtop. When I traveled with him
to the DAC the door man always wanted it parked in the
front because of the car. Also because Dad was known around
the world as a successful Ford Dealer, business man,
philanthropist, and because of the articles about him in LIFE
magazine in 1938 and 1946. |
