The University held a special Mass on the first month anniversary
October 11, 2001 in memory of all the victims with a special tribute to the New York City Police and Fire Personnel. As an appreciation from the Hammes Family they were able to shop the Hammes Bookstore to bring home gifts for themselves and their family. They were very modest in what they chose. The cap and the shirt were given to members of my family.
