When does one lay claim to the first car you possessed? That means you could drive it. Thanks Mom and Dad! Mine was a new 1948 dark green Ford convertible. It appeared in the spring of 1948 and disappeared in the fall of 1948. Since Dad was a car dealer it was time to sell. This reoccurred through out my "nesting" years. No one knew it back then but this car was so popular that today the Franklin Mint and others do the die-cast versions. SOLD. 03.17.03
