FordSouthWest: World's Largest Indoor All Ford Car Show
The World's Largest Indoor All Ford Car Show is taking place September 15-17th, 2006 at the new Arizona Cardinals stadium in Glendale. Dick Brannan and Jerry Hammes joined forces back in April to produce an "all Ford" car show at the North Metro Atlanta Cumming Fairgrounds in Georgia called FordSouth. While the show included various special interest Ford cars from the last 100 years, there was a focus on Ford performance due to Dick Brannan's involvement with the original Ford Special Vehicle Department and formation of the first Ford drag team (Brannan's success on the drag strip earned him the first of the 1963 "lightweight" Galaxies and the first T-Bolt). FordSouth was a tremendous success and now, together with the son of his original sponsor, Romy Hammes, Jerry and Dick are doing it again at FordSouthWest inside the brand new Arizona Cardinals stadium this September.
At FordSouthWest you'll see Ford Musclecars, Street Rods, Customs, Race Cars, Restored Originals, Antiques and Concepts. Organizer connections and history with Ford drag racing will draw well known guests such as: Gas Ronda, Butch Leal, Roy Hill, Ron Leslie, Earl Wade, Charlie Morris, Tom Grove, Hubert Platt, Sam Auxier Jr., Phil Bonner, and many others. You can see hundreds of vintage Fords, Mustangs, Fairlanes, Falcons, Mavericks, Thunderbirds, Mercurys, Comets, Lincolns, Trucks, Edsels. There will also be the latest in new Ford cars and trucks all parked in one convenient area and staffed with people able to answer questions.
We hope you'll attend and be sure to look for the FordMuscle booth. We'll be there too!
