BELOW...El Rancho Vegas. Banks "No Loan Policy" - 1951 & 1955. As a matter of policy, banks would not loan to Casinos or Hotels irrespective of good credit worthiness. Romy stepped forward as a pioneer of private funding. The loan was repaid without a hitch.
1941 - The El Rancho Vegas opens. The strip and the beginning of big name entertainment emerges.
